The Relationship Between Voltage and PCB Thickness:

The Led Strip Light PCB Board is Normally 2OZ, Some Do 3OZ, and There Are Also Requirements to Do 4OZ. There Are Also Factories to Reduce the Cost of the Customer to Make the Led Strip Light PCB Board 1OZ, or Even 0.75OZ. In the Case of Normal 2OZ, the 5V Led Strip Light is Normally Recommended to Have a Length of 3M, and if It Exceeds 3 Meters, There Will Be a Voltage Drop Problem.

So What is the Pressure Drop? The Voltage Drop Refers to the Color Inconsistency Caused by the Decrease in Current Due to the Small Voltage. Usually, After 3M, There Will Be Inconsistencies in the Color Between the First and Last Ends.

Why is There a Voltage Drop? In Order to Facilitate Understanding, We Compare the Circuit on the PCB Board to the River Bed of the River. The Thickness of the PCB Board is Wider Than the Width of the River Bed. The Voltage is Compared to the Water Pressure, and the Current is Compared to the River Water. When the Voltage (Water Pressure) is Too Small, the Current (River) Cannot Reach Farther and the Current (River Water) is Less, Causing a Voltage Drop; Therefore, Increasing the Thickness of the PCB (Widening the Riverbed), Increasing the Voltage (Water Pressure) is an Advantageous Way to Effectively Reduce the Voltage Drop (to Help the River Flow Further).

The 24V Led Strip Light is Usually Recommended to Have a Length of 10M, Because IT Can Be Installed With Less Power, Which is Not Only Cost-effective but Also Easy to Install, So Many Customers Prefer the 24V Led Strip Light.
